I spend too much time on this...

The story behind this is pretty simple. It was before Tara met Hakea and Yona. She was given a lot of small tasks to prevent people from killing other people. Simple enough. This time, she (as a human) got engaged with a rich man who was famous for killing his wives and steal their money.

Tara never got the good time to make him change his mind, and soon she was getting tired of being nice to him. At the same time, they were getting married, and he was planning to kill her. But Tara, who was immune to the poision, freaked him out instead and made him run. Ironically, this made him a better person as he was too frightened to ever kill another person again.
